CAMCO Capital Acquisition And Mangement Company Harassing phone calls without proof of debt Even called my neighbor Rockford Illinois
For the past few days I have been harrassed by this band of miscreants (big word Mr. Steve Johnson... get your dictionary). They have even gone so far as to ask my neighbor to put note under my door. Now, she works for the local police dept. (BIG MISTAKE MR. JOHNSON) and is willing to also make a statement to authorites.
I was first contacted by a woman claiming that I owed $2,000 on a past debt. I had never heard of said debt and therefore informed her of that. I told her (I wish I could remember her name) that I would need this information in writing and she said "let me get one of my managers). In comes Steve Johnson (scary music). He gets downright rude with me from the start claiming I'm basically a loser that won't own up to a debt. I explain that I need it in writing and he agrees to send it. Now, before I forget, they said they had mailed one to me and that I never responded. !!lie!!
Next comes a call from Kevin (1-877-298-0845 ext. 1550) asking me to call back. Things are getting ridiculous by this point. I call him in the morning and he calls back at 11:00 am or so. He's rude and I inform him I need something in writing. He says that he mailed something to me on Oct. 13th and it should reach me by the day of our conversation (Oct. 15th.
October 16th. Still no letter with account numbers, balance, etc. To make a long story short I have called a few people in and around his area. Here are the phone numbers:

Well, it's Saturday morning 8:49 EST, and still no "official letter" to prove debt. That doesn't stop me from filing suit though. I urge anyone that has a problem with this company to:
A) Join in on any Class Action Suit you can find or start one.
B) File a small claims suit against the actual "Debt Collector"
for harassment and anything else you can think of. Especially
Steve Johnson if he's the one. After all... he claims to be
management and management has it's responsibilities.
C) Call every number you see above and complain till they have
absolutely no choice but to do something about it.
D) Call all your local newspapers and News channels. Remember
that the media love a good SCAM!

IT's so good to get some real info. on Illinois Goverment. I've been so busy covering my butt, that I have had no time to look into all of this.
By the way the hell with T-shirts I want "WANTED POSTERS" of thes jerks.
Everyon Keep up the good work. If everyone can put in enough information I'm sure we can put together a clas acction law suite.

So far he's only tried calling back once (Steve Johnson).
Found a great link if you're from NH OR if you're a Steve Johnson. I especially love the definition of "debt collector" and the points to remember part:
POINTS TO REMEMBER
If you are contacted by a collection agency or debt collector, you have to receive a written notice giving you information about the alleged debt. You have the right to know the amount owed, the name of the creditor, and what action you may take if you believe you do not owe the debt.
Remember, a debt collector cannot harass you to repay the debt in any way. The debt collector may not contact you at unreasonable times, or at work if your employer disapproves. Neither may a debt collector contact your friends nor relatives.
Remember, that while you may find it upsetting to have a debt collector contact you, if the debt is valid, reasonable collection methods are not in violation of the law.
