CAMCO CAPITAL ACQUISITION ripoff ROCKFORD Illinois
I recieved a collection notice from Camco on 11/12/2004.
For the amount of $764.40 for a household retail account that doesn't exist.
I have been given 30 days to pay this debt before I pay this debt I would like to know if it is legal for this company to attempt to collect any money from me.

CAMCO NEWS DEC 7 04 ...raided by the Feds this morning
#4UPDATE EX-employee responds
Tue, December 07, 2004
Mario Bianchi and Bruce Cohen worked together in the Scahumburg CAMCO office. They now own a collection agency together. However, this does not mean that their new company does not engage in legal, above board collections. However, I have it on good word from a former CAMCO employee that CAMCO's offices in Schaumburg, Rockford, Marietta and Alpharetta were raided by the Feds this morning...This has been confirmed by the authorities, but this ex-employee got word form an employee working there this morning...

A family memebr of mine was contacted by a company by the name of Financial Credit Services. I did some research on the company and found out that Mario Bianchi is an owner. I beleive this is the same Mario Bianchi that was named in the FTC consent agreement regarding Camco. How can he be named personally and be permitted to open a new company doing the same business.
The address of the company is 4801 Emerson Ave., Palatine, IL 60067. Phone number (847) 925-1613. Bruce Cohen is also an owner and ex-employee of Camco. How should my family memeber deal with htis company???

Anibal,
i suppose its legal & i am certain that they would love for you to pay. but why would you consider paying an account that's not even yours?
read the other posts here to find out info & suggestions about camco and their collecting tactics.
and if the debt is not yours - i would just ignore them or tell 'em to go pound sand.
