just when i think camco dried up and blew away, i get a phone call from them, yep Ikea again.

its been months since she's called me, but apparently they're still in the dried-up debt collecting biz. i thought after our last conversation she wouldn't be calling me at work anymore.

so i filed another complaint with the ftc just to keep them informed & up to date.

by the way, earlier i was contacted by the DA's office in Santa Cruz, Ca. regarding my dealings with Camco. so how camco does its collecting buisness is of interest to others.

honestly, the best thing i've found to do about camco is nothing - ignore them. well reporting them to the ftc is probably a worthwhile move since camco continues to ignore the ftc's rulings about how they conduct buisness.

i've also filed complaints with our states attorney general. and whenever i see a news story i contact the reporter to let them know about us. and you can set up search engines like google to notify you by email when theres a new story/report out. in addition to using this website, i think letting the media know about camco is a good way to get the word out.

but when camco calls, just hang up. when they write, so what, let them spend their $ on postage, just tear the letter up in little pieces.

fortunately for me, not only are my debts eons old, but so is camcos contact info - i've not gotten 1 letter. although, they do like to argue that they sent one(s).

nope, the letters & some phone calls have gone to moms house, and i haven't lived there for 30 years. and i had her write "return to sender, address unknown" on them.

seems like they (camco) are -only- succe$$ful dealilng with those folks who get a demand letter or phone call & simply give them money in hopes of making them go away.
