Camelot Camp Ground Did not provide the camping services as described. We stayed there for a season and the experience was pretty horrible. ripoff Marshalville Ohio

The campground may have at one time been a nice place, and when we went to look at the sites in the early spring it appeared well kept with two shower houses and a lodge building. They were all locked up so we couldnt see inside. That should have been my first clue. The owner told us we needed to get our site reserved before the place filled up so we paid the seasonal rate.

Upon arrival I found out that the one shower house that was located close to our campsite had been closed for the past 5 years or so. Then although there were camper activities posted they never took place because there was with the exception of my wife and i 6 other people in the entire park. Except the site directly behind me were the person that stayed there every day would get drunk and scream and fight with his wife EVERY night, the campground was supposedly alcohol free but the owner prefered to look the other way as this individual would work for him doing maint.

I was woken up bright and early every saturday for the first three weekends we were there by the owner asking me if i could help set concrete forms lay drainage pipe etc. After I told him I had came there to relax and not work he became extremely abusive towards myself and my wife finding at least once a week something to complain about and usually doing that inn the early morning hours, IE Saturday morning 6:45 knock on the door "you need to mow your grass" etc etc. He charged our daughter admission price to drop our granddaughter off. Accosted our son in law (who we had paid admission for) in the rest room demanding to know who he was, this is while he was sitting on the commode.

On saturday morning he was pounding on a manhole cover beside my camper with ahammer at 6:30 in the morning. When we had finally had enough and left the campground towards the end of the season several items that belonged to me were stolen while wee were moving things out, tools bicycle etc. He said it was not his responsibility although during the entire time we were there no one ever entered the campground without the owner being aware of it. I honestly think he took my stuff.

You camped there for an entire season? You were responsible for site maintenance? (you need to mow your grass) It makes me think of like a summer camp you would send a child to. Are you retired?

Sorry, I am not trying to be nosy, I have never heard of such a thing, please explain. If you were camping asking you to do misc. jobs around the campground is so odd. Sounds like a really bad experience anyway you look at it.
