I was expelled without cause and am out $14K and five months.  The daughter of the owner waved me aside while I was working on a client.  She said there was a group of at least four individuals who needed to speak with me.  I asked what this was about.  At first, she stated it related to cosmetology, but when pressed, admitted it had something to do with "professionalism."  I suffer from PTSD and anxiety disorder, so I said I would meet with one person, but that wasn't good enough for her, and she called police to have me escorted off the property.  The next week, I was assured that they would send me my 30% refund, since I had not yet completed half of the hours, which amounted to $3300 and send me a soft finger diffuser and Jane Iredale cosmetic kit, which they had failed to include in my initial kit; but, after they discovered that I had filed a negative report on the Internet, they decided that, not only wouldn't they give me my refund, but they were charging an additional $800 because, they now claimed, I had left voluntarily and, therefore, was required to return their scholarship.  They refused to specify the particular unprofessional act of which Iwas guilty during the second week's conversation or via e-mail.  The termination paper stated they were turning me over to collections and would begin to charge 12% interest on the amount they claimed I owed them.  They require all students to sign a binding arbitration agreement on admission, so a case has been filed with AAA for the amount of my schooling costs, not including my loss of income, at $14K.  The only thing I can guess they might think was unprofessional was a discussion I had with other students in the students' lounge that a department head had had sexual relations with one of the students in the building.  Otherwise, my hours were over 100% and my GPA was over 95%.
