Complaint Review: Camp Mahonagen

This report is not truly about the camp itself but about one of its employees and the horrible thing he did to my child. My son and husband were attending a trip to this establishment when a counselor named Jacob Jackson approached them. My son recognized him from other camps he had attended and was excited to see him.

my son and his friends were off playing while my husband made the camp ready, when my son came back he was crying and he demanded to leave and go home. I returned home from work and was suprised that they were back so early and that my child had locked himself in his room. It took several weeks for my son to calm down and tell us what happened.

He said that the counselor he had been talking to earlier had invited him to play in the woods, when he got there the boy tried to get him to use alcohol and drugs and then asked him to do things that a boy of that age should have no knowlege of. He said that ifg my son told anyone that they wouldnt believe him and all his friends would call him gay.

we contacted the police but they say that we cant do anything without my sons confession, weve taked him to therapists but he is to embarraseed and ashemed to talk to anyone other than us about it. this a***ole is a horrible person and should be locked up for what he did to my son and it takes everthing inside of me not to take matters into my won hands.

I wanted to warn everyone about this boy so that no other children will have to go through what my boy has gone through.
