To Whom It May Concern ;
This letter is about two different experiences' I've had with Camping World
Service Department.
The first one was at the Camping World Of Gulf Breeze (6240 Gulf Breeze PKWY)
The date I dropped it off was 09/19/2008. I explained to them the issues which were as
Follows.Window caulk on outside of dinette area coming apart, The sofa cushions wereRipping, The tongue jack seemed to be bent, One of the storage compartment door
Clips had failed, The front decal was faded and peeling, The electric cord was melting,
These would all be covered under warranty. I had told them after dumping the tanks,They still showed 2/3 full. They said there would be a charge for flushing them, So I Told them I would take care of that myself. I also told them that the place we boughtIt from was supposed to re-caulk the roof and didn't, They said I would have to takeIt back to them since I didn't buy it from them. And again I said OK I will take care Of it.
The Completed and pick up day was 10/31/2008, They had my RV for a total of Six weeks, All for pretty minor things. When I would call for a status, They never
Knew who we were, or had to put us on hold to find paperwork, couldn't find out If parts had even been ordered, We even had to call Keystone to inform them of the RV being in the shop. The Service person (RG) was rude and uninformative. They Never called me to update me on the status over this six week period, The only time
I talked to them is when I called, Then when I did call, it would take 15-20mins. For Them to figure out who we are. I was even the one who had to call them to find out
Our RV was ready to be picked up, They did not call me.
When I got there to pick it up, They informed me that the bill was, $185.74 for Flushing out the tanks, which I had told them I would take care of myself when I
Dropped of the RV. So after talking to the store manager and explaining I never Authorized that work to be done, And I would not pay for it. He explained he Would take it off the bill.

Also after checking out the work they had done, the decal that was replaced On the front of the RV was not the same as the old one, it was only of the decal.
As well as they never cleaned the area after removing the old decal, So it has a Shadowing effect where you can see all the lines of the old decal.

About two weeks later I got a call from someone at the location wanting my Mailing address for an unpaid bill, I would not give it to them and explained that
The store manager had said he was going to adjust off the bill. This woman was Also rude. Needless to say, I would not use there facility again.

On June 22nd 2009 I thought there was a problem with the rear axle on my RV So I decided to try the Camping World location in Robertsdale Alabama, not Knowing that they were owned by the same people. That morning when I got there I spoke with Randy McCall at the service desk and explained I had a bad experience with the location in Gulf Breeze and hoped this one would be better. I told him that Communication with me was key, and as long as he stayed in touch with me and letMe know what was going on I would be very happy. He had told me that was no
Problem, they always stay in touch with their customers and even showed me a tab On the computer screen for contact notes. That put my mind at ease. So I told him when I make a sharp left or right turn the rear axle tires tilt slightly.Could they please check it out. He said they would get with keystone and check it
Out. We also talked about the wheel bearing pack for 229.00. I had told him that When they check out the axles if they notice the bearings need to be packed to go
Ahead and do so. I waited two days and never heard anything from Randy, So I called to speak With him. I must have tried 10 times to get someone to answer at the service desk But it just kept going back to the reception desk. Finally I left a message.

he next day after not hearing anything from my message, I started calling again After about the 15th time of calling I was able to track Randy down, He said the
Axles checked out fine and it looked like they needed to do a bearing pack on one Of the axles. So I said ok, let me know when it is ready. ( that was on Saturday the
06/25/2009 ) On Tuesday 06/28/2009 I again had not heard anything from them and started trying to call again. After about 10 calls I finally got the service mgr.
Mark on the phone and said it would be ready that afternoon. Meanwhile when I Did speak with someone those few times I kept asking for a ball park figure. Just
So I would have some kind of an idea how much it would cost. The best answer I Could get was around 200.00-300.00 dollars.

So the next morning I headed out to pick up my RV. When I got there Randy Asked another man with a ponytail to check me out, He had no idea what he was Doing and didn't even know how to sell me a presidents club membership. I also Asked him if they sold ceiling fans for RV's and he said he didn't know because
He couldn't find the girls in the back. Rather than ask someone else, he again said he had no idea. When Jason I think his name was ( Short and Stocky man ) finally
Totaled up my bill it was 482.48. Needless to say I was in shock, And asked how They came up with that total? Jason looked at the bill for a moment and then threw
The paperwork in front of me, threw his arms up in the air and walked away. Randy Came over and said it was higher do to the parts they had to put on it. I asked why
He never called me to authorize that to be done, And he said he didn't have to since I had already ok'd it. No I didn't..I ok'd the wheel bearing pack which he said it
Looked like only one axle had to be done. He never asked about any parts. So ratherThan continue to argue, I gave them a 10% off coupon and paid my bill of $407.35.
Before leaving I requested to see the service manager,

After expressing my Concerns with mark he pretty much said Randy was justified to allow anything That needed to be done to complete the wheel bearing pack, even though I was Never notified about additional parts. His attitude was pretty much..Sorry There is nothing more I can do.So I hooked up my RV and left. I found a 1-800 number on Camping Worlds web Page for customer service, and lodged a formal complaint that day.

On Thursday July 2nd 2009 I received a call from Randy on my cell phone around 4:30pm ( which I have saved ) He had said they owed me a refund for parts that were
never put on my RV while it was in for service, But they were on my invoice and I had paid for them.So on Friday July 3rd 2009 myself and co-owner of the RV drove back out there Before lunch time to see the service manager and store manager. No one was there that Day, but Jason. I explained to him that I would not take a refund until we spoke to management. He once again was rude, but supplied me with a new invoice that shows I was over-charged by $103.64. He also wanted me to sign something and I declined.

Before leaving the girls at the front desk were very helpful trying to come up with A number of how many times I had tried to call with no success to reach the service Desk over the week and a half my RV was there. When I noticed on their paperwork They were tracking the service calls, I asked if their service department was having Other issues. They just kind of nodded in agreeance. As well I can assume that if this Big of a mistake was made on my bill, And communication with the service dept. is This bad, How many other people have been over billed or charged for things they
Did not receive? How am I to know if they really even packed the bearings?

In-Closing ..
The main reason for this letter is to let everyone know to check, check, and double Check your bills for any kind of service work you have done. Request old parts,
And make these people accountable to keep communication at all times with Customers, with out us you all would be out of business.
As for me I still haven't heard from any kind of manager with any answers or Compensation for my troubles or overpayment.

Thank-You for your time,
Robert A K

1st, the Leisuretyme RV in Robertsdale was simply an extention of the Pensacola location. Each sold from the others inventory and anything sold in Robertsdale was considered as being sold in Pensacola. Please forgive my geographical error in  misreporting the exact location of your bottom feeding.

2nd, I never said it was a Passport you were considering at Camping World. The Passport is such a low quality, entry level Rv that it is no longer being made. You went with the cheapest Rv you could find and got what you paid for.

3rd, I did not go out of business for poor business practices. I was an employee and not the Company. It is because of sorry, cheap customers like yourself that shop the world for the best price that cause companies like Leisuretyme to go out of business.  The company still has to pay them for the time they spent with you. Do you ever think of the salespersons whose time you wasted? You took their time when they could have been with a buying customer instead of getting jerked around by you.

Finally, have you got anything good to say about anyone? It sounds like you are unhappy when you have to pay for something instead of getting it free. Bottom line is you got what what you paid for. It is peolpe like you that caused me to leave the RV sales.

i did buy from leisure tyme but in robertsdale not pensacola, and was never told not to come back. further more camping world does not sell keystone passports. so your facts are untrue! further more you went out of business because of poor business practices....for instance, there are many people that purchased new rv's from your company with a trade in and your company never paid off the original loan so now these poor folks have to make two rv payments per month. I would assume this is one of the reasons that your company went out of business. So before you start sounding off about crap you know nothing about GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.

Are you the same Mr. Keller who purchased the 2007 Passport from me at Leisuretyme Rv in Pensacola? I believe you only bought from me because I sold the Passport to you for $1500 less than our compitition at Camping World. You saved $1500 on the Passport because it is a cheaper, lower quality product than you were looking to buy from our compitition and you got what you paid for.

You failed to mention that you were a total jerk at Leisuretyme Rv before you were told not to return to there. I can only assume that you then went to the same RV dealer you jerked around for a lousy $1500 and now are unhappy with them and the camper you saved. It is people like you who cause dealerships like Leisuretyme to go out of business. Get a life.
