Canal Insurance was paid for commercial insurance, and we waited several months for insurance cards. When a vehicle was deleted, it took a month to get confirmation of the removal. After 7 months, still no updated policy has been received. We attempted to purchase a vehicle, but received a refund of the downpayment from the dealership. The vehicle was sold to another buyer. We were charged for the "non-existent" vehicle for 4 months. We found out later we were overcharged also, and just as we'd suspected overpaid thousands of dollars. Canal's employees are rude, unprofessional, don't return calls, faxes and claim the policy didn't existed some days and claimed we had no policy other days. That didn't stop them from accepting our money, however. The admininistrative staff threatened our local agent, and verbally reprimanded her when she gave us the name of those people to call to complain, since they ignored all of her requests for help on our behalf. Canal Insurance operates using very dishonest, harmful policies. Their employees mistreat customers and make false claims to cover their tracks.
