Complaint Review: Cancun & Mexico Bureau Of Travel And Tourism

Cancun & Mexico Bureau Of Travel And Tourism I received at work an official looking "memo" about a GREAT deal on a trip to Cancun Mexico for up to 8 people and also a FREE trip to Disney World for a family of 4. All of this for only $398.00 plus airfare. Meals included in Cancun, as well as all the alcohol we could drink. Besides that, I was given until 2010 to make travel plans. Once Carla got credit card info, no more contact was possible Internet

Official looking memo at work from "Human Resources" was left in my box. I called cmbtt and spoke to Carla who stated for $398.00 I could have a 5 night all inclusive trip for up to 8 people to Cancun, not including airfare, as well as a free trip for 5 to Disney World. All of this could be scheduled anytime up to 2010. She listed several well known hotels that were options. After getting my credit card information and faxing back my receipt, she was no longer available. When I attempted to look up the info on line and the choices of hotels, the info did not match what Carla had told me. As I kept making attempts (several!) to reach a live person, I was met with recordings with "hold" times that kept increasing rather than decreasing. I have again recently attempted to reach someone and found that the one phone # now sounds like a fax machine, another # is disconnected, and a third has no answer. Obviously I was stupid to respond to this ad, but I think this ripoff group needs to be charged with fraud and theft. Anything I can do to further this process I am interested in doing so that others are not ripped off the way I was!
