The salesperson lied about everything. First she led me to believe this was a Canadian Tire Promotion. She said everything was being recorded and I would get a report of the whole conversation after in my email.

The salesperson explained everything very clearly and made sure I understood my 600.00 was paying for an all inclusive package for Cancun and a second free package too Costa Rica. Of which both would come in the mail in a few days.

Of course I never got the email. Ater she answered all my quesions and confirmed I was getting both packages as all inclusive, hotel food etc. Only the flight I would have to pay. She handed me to a closer.

The closer rambled off everything and it went over my head the way he worded the all inclusive I thought was for both packages like I was told.

TD Visa went on the phone with me to hear the recording. They will not let us hear the recording of the salesperson. They say it was not recorded. TD Visa says they can not do anything because I agreed to a non-refundable payment.

Here is what went wrong and what they played on. Probaby at least 30% or more of the people fall for what I did. What a fool I was. I spent 20 minutes on the call. Figured the closer was going to tell me the same thing. Figure it was a true promotion from Canadian Tire.

So basically with blurting the whole package out, having an accent and with the formention thoughts in my head I simply agreed to it all. When I heard the only conversation they recorded a second time I see what happened. The all inclusive was included right after the main package and obviously just before the Cosa Rica package so I assumed both were all inclusive.

When I got my package it looked like it was not all inclusive and so I called the company. They said no it was not then proceded to sell me a all inclusive package for just under 500.00 per person. That is an additional 1K for food and a few minor extras. And still I ahve a flight to pay for.

Now that I look up all there is on this company I tell myself is it worth even going because at least the hotel is paid for? But I can not because now I am paranoid about added expenses I will incur after I arrive. I ahve no idea how much food will cost me etc. I am not sure if this Costa Rica pkg is legit etc.

I have tried calling the hotels but their numbers are not on the net and the company will not give me the toll free numbers. If the hotels are run by this Cancun travel company it wont help anyway.

Here is my advice to all that read this. NEVER except anything over the phone and never agree to a second person confirming anything. If you do listen extremely carefully. NEVER agree to anything that says non-refundable.

You may say what an idiot. I would say that too. If I could explain the whole situation it might make more sence how I fell for this. I will never fall for this again. We will simply hang up the phone on everyone.

My thing is, How can the law allow so many complaints of a company who is obviously conning , frauding people? This was a con job otherwise they would have recorded the salesperson to verify what she said as well.

One last thing my bill shows as paradise resorts I beieve. My bill is not in yet.

My hope in showing my stupidy is that someone else will not fall for this con as well.

To Whom It May Concern, in reference to this customer's claims we as Cancun Travel Unlimited would like to express our side of the story. In our sales process our agents read directly from a script that is worded to express all of the details of the package. Once the customer accepts the offer then they are transferred to the verification department where all of the terms and conditions are repeated and recorded. Even though we do not record the entire process, in the verification portion there is a time where we ask the customer if everything that was on the recorded part the same as the representative explained. This allows the customer to ask anything that was not clear or that was different from the way that the sales rep explained it, to the way that the verification agent recorded it; this eliminates any doubt that the agent made the deal sound better.

In this particular case this customer was under the impression that Cancun and Costa Rica portions of her vacation package where both all inclusive of meals and beverages. She called the customer services several times screaming and yelling to our agents for up to 20 minutes at a time. We asked her what we can do to make her happy. She decided to downgrade to a Cancun Only package. We gave her all of the options and did all we could to accommodate her acting in good faith.

Anybody that has purchased a package with Cancun Travel Unlimited; if you have any problems contacting us you may do so at dzambrano@sunsetworld.net.

After going over the terms and conditions I found what I thought was a reason to dispute the non-refundable with Cancun. Of course we went in circles until she concluded that at least I also have the Costa Rica package so go there or something like that she said.

Then I realized the conversation they did record said I would get this second package and I never did. My second conversation with them they said I would only receive this AFTER I went to Cancun and participated in the 90 minute tour.

So now I figured I had them. Because the recorded conversation never mentioned I had to do the tour to receive it. So we settled on receiving half a refund since I did receive half the agreed package for the 600.00.

So if anyone is in the similar position this could work for you to get a minimum 299.00 USD back. If someone has patience and time this might be enough grounds to fight to get back 100% of your money.

Of course I had to sign a document agreeing that this compnay has done nothing wrong. :( But at least I got 299.00 instead of nothing.

Good luck for anyone else who has had to deal with these people.
