Candock Warranty denied, company advertises lifetime warranty Material cracked at the molded seam. Sherbrooke, Quebec Canada
In 2009 I was approached by a Candock dealer and i purchased 2 seadoo docks for a value of $5400, at the time he told me the docks had a lifetime warranty. I was promised the docks in June, however they did not arrive until August. I used them until october of that summer, i pulled them from the lake and stored them.
In 2010 when i launched the docks one of the jetslides were leaking . I contacted the dealer I purchased them from and he took it back and re-placed it except this time the design was changed it was now filled with foam.
In the Spring of 2012 I ordered another 36 cubes to extent my dock.
In 2012 When i launched my docks the other slide was leaking. I contacted the dealer, who forwarded my e-mail to Eric the sales manager, he replied asking if I could wait until the next shipment for my replacement ; which i agreed to do
I was asked to send pictures of the slide which i provided.
I received my new docks and still did not receive my slide.
In the fall when i was ready to remove my slides from the lake I contacted the dealer and he then told me that Candock was not going to replace my slide it was only a one year warranty. The dealer then told me that in 2010 Candock did not replace the slide he did it himself at his cost.
I asked Eric for a copy of the warranty and he replied that it was one year. I requested a written copy of the Warranty for 2009 models and he directed me to directed to thier website which states that After april 2011 the warranty for the slides. I Contacted Eric again and stated that the website only applies to Models after April 2011. He stated that he gave me the information and it is clear. I requested a written copy of my warranty for the model manufactured in 2009. he did not provide the warranty
I again requested clarification in writing of the warranty for the models built prior to 2011 and I also stated that it is a manufacturing defect as it is seperated at the seam.
He responded stating that it is user abuse or weather conditions. he also stated that they make thousounds of these and i am the only one that has had trouble. he still refused to send me the written copy of the Warranty in 2009. Which i replied stating that the 2010 replacement filled with foam is still in good working condition. I also stated that if i am the only one having trouble then why has the design been changed and now filled with foam? Which he has not replied to.
I have filed another complaint with Candock which i also stated that they misled me with the warranty coverage until i purchased more cubes, then they refused to warranty the product.
Januray 2013 -I phoned the head office and asked for the manager and they stated he was out asked me if i would like to speak to Eric I told them that my concern is about Eric and they stated that they would have the manager call me back. That was 2 weeks ago and i have still not heard from them.
I consider myself a very reasonable person.
I have 3 full size trucks, 2 snowmobiles, 2 seadoos, and many itmes that warranty condtions apply and i have never had any issues with those manufacturers Candock has been very unreasonable, and have gotten to the point where they make me feel as if i have done something wrong and is a nuisance to them.
They should open thier eyes they have a obligation to hold up to thier end of the agreement.
Quit misleading people and ripping them off.
I guess my next step will have to be small claims court.
