This is the nightmare experience I am having with Canpages.
The following is a brief over view of what has happened since I was first approached by a Canpages Rep in June 2009.
The Advertising Rep assured me that the advertising would be to my liking.  I had explained to her all the problems I have had with Yellow Pages (this year being no exception).
I tried several times during June/July/Aug  to contact Canpages via phone messages and email.  No one responded until August 27, 2009.

By that time, I had received a proof July 23/09) that had glaring errors...omission of vital things and the logo was not correct. I had provided Canpages with a emailed jpeg of my company Logo.    When I emailed the Advertising Rep on July 24/09 about these errors, no one responded.  Canpages confirms that they received the logo Jpeg I emailed them, and yet they chose not to use it.
Finally on August 27, 2009 someone from Canpages finally contacted me.  It was Ray T. - he proceeded to tell me that I am making too big a deal about the logo being wrong.  He told me it would be different if my business was Coca Cola.  What nerve he has!  He told me to quit contact the Advertising Rep and to let the ads do their work, even though they were not as I had requested.
In September, I got an invoice from Canpages stating that the full amount was due immediately. Yet my copy of the contract clearly states that I would've been making monthly payments.  (Had the advertising been what I requested).

Then when I finally get the Canpages book for Medicine hat, to my horror, I see that my business has been totally omitted from the White pages.
Most people who are familiar with a business go to the white pages first.  During this time of recession, people will naturally assume because we are not listed, that we have gone out of business.

This litany of errors is unacceptable. My business will suffer dramatically from the omission in the White Pages.  Canpages is trying to move into the Medicine Hat market.  This is not how you do it.
I do not plan on paying a cent towards this fiasco.  Canpages is trying to bully me into paying 50% of the contract.  This will never happen.  I want to make other people aware...don't advertise with Canpages.  They have had numerous complaints lodge against them with the Better Business Bureau.  Mine is one of them.
