Complaint Review: Capital Acquisitions & Management

This company began calling and writing a few months ago demanding $21,000+ I supposedly owed to Citibank. After shrugging it off for a while and using Caller ID to advantage today I finally called them back at 866-261-7736.

A woman answered the phone and demanded to know who I was though she wouldn't identify herself, though she did identify the company as Capital Acquisitions & Management (which is how I located ripoffreport.com).

When I told them I owed no money to Citibank and to stop calling me she became abusive, telling me to "act like a man" and "get out my checkbook." I hung up but fully expect more calls so I'm preparing a cease and desist letter. (Sample available at http://www.auriton.org/cease_letter.htm)

I would not even bother with these clowns except I'm still seething and there are a lot of scared and impressionable people out there who might actually pay because they don't know better.

If these bottom-feeders contact you demand they stop calling then mail a cease & desist. If they persist I believe you can legally go after them.
