Capital Acquisitions & Management Company

I received a letter from CAMCO on December 12, 2002 saying that I owed them money since February of 1995. At that time I didn't do anything, after couple months later a debtor call my house saying that I have an outstanding debt in the amount of $13,121.39. They also told me that I could settle the whole amount by paying $3,260.45 to them. Due to the fact that I'm afraid it would affect my credit history, I almost fell into this trap by just paying them the settlement. After discussed with family and friends I decided not to give them any money because they could not able to show me evidence about my outstanding debt and I never have this credit card number before.

Somehow, I went online trying to get more information about CAMCO. I found out this website containing a lot of complaints documented by victims who had similar saturation with me. I feel that it is necessary to file my own complaint to the public as well.

Go to the ftc.gov site and immediately file a complaint. Just be honest and list the offenses. These people cannot obey the law so chances are very good they break a half dozen fdcpa violations. Are you in california where it is illegal to collect a time barred debt(I know you are not but others may be), did they threaten your credit, did they pull your credit report and read off your tradelines, was your debt BKed long ago, did they threaten to sue you, ect. File with the FTC NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW.

they are about to go down. file with the illinois attorney general and the AG in your state. NOW NOW NOW. You do not have to worry about the BBB because they were already kicked out of it last month. If anyone has not filed a complaint with the FTC do it the moment you read this.

Tell the truth. Do not lie. List the offenses and the way they treated you. If you know the collectors name then point it out. they are all made up but the head ftc investigator will know who you are talking about. Scroll down and find my other posts. If you need more help then ask for it.
