Capital Auto Sales Repossessed instead of repairing!! Vineland New Jersey
I put my down payment and payed for my tax, tags and title in February 2008 for a 2001 Frod Windstar. I may have been a few days late on a payment or two between then and now, but a very loyal customer. April 23 2009 the van would not start. There was no warranty so knowing a good deal about cars, I went about fixing it. I have put new tires, a fuel pump with assembly, a battery, and an ignition coil. I found out later that the problem was the main computer. I called and visited every place I could think of to get the part, but it's like it didn't exist. Anyhow, I called Capital to see if they could get the part. The man told me he was going to send a tow truck and send it to the shop to see what they could do. On May 27 2009 I went in to see if it was fixed yet. I was told that it wasn't fixed and since I took the tags off (I don't trust leaving the tags on at this particular shop) before it went to the shop, it's considered a repossession and not a repair. They still can't tell me if the van has been fixed and they expect me to pay fees for repossession.

I applied for a mortgage on a home just to find out that they sold my van at an auction and put $7000 in debt on my credit. It wasn't enough that they took my car and didn't give it back, now they are keeping my kids from having a home. Thanx alot ripoff's!
