Dear Ripoff:

I purchased two internet businesses in January 2006, casino and pharmacy from Capital Business Group. The sales person Mike Wendland seemed very informative and knowledgeable of the business and its success. He sold me the package for $990. I asked him repeatedly if this was all the monies that would be involved in getting things running and he assured me that it was. After careful consideration and explaining to Mike that my job would possibly be downsizing he assured me a steady income from the sites and asked me to talk it over with my husband and call him at home.

He gave me his home number and after I joined and things did not go as he stated there has been no returned calls or answers to the many voice messages I left for him. After spending the $990 a few days later my coach, Wes Ferguerson called and said that he needed to help me by building my sites and hosting them. I told him that there must be a mistake because Mike Wendland had said that the $990 was all I needed to spend. He went through this whole line of bullshit. By now I am totally baffled and no recourse seemed to be within reach. I again went back to my husband and explained the situation and he repeatedly said no. Against my husband's wishes I singly decided to go with the advertising and building of the sites for an additional $1950. After not receiving any commission within a month; on February 16, 2006, I wrote a letter to Bill Todd voicing my concerns. He never responded in writing but in return called to welcome me and assure me that I would see a profit soon.

I shared my concerns and told him how Mike Wendland had given me the wrong information about no other fees being associated after spending the first $990. His bandage fix was to bump me up to 50,000 visits to my sites with no additional charge and assured me that I would make good on my investment. To date I have received $34.00 not even enough to make a credit card payment. I have extensive notes of calls made to CBG, Mike Wendland, Bill Todd, Wes Ferguerson, Jason (IT person), and lately a new person, Phillip Heinrichs.

Supposedly, Phillip Heinrichs replaced Wes Ferguerson due to his termination for a drinking problem and trouble with the IRS. It seems that all their terminated employees had drinking problems or troubles with not reporting their taxes. (what a scam?) Within the last two months I have phoned the office numerous times and get excuses like; Bill is gone for the day, Wes was let go due to a drinking problem, Phil is out sick this week, or someone stepped away and my call will be returned or there is no answer and a voice message box that is always full. No messages left have been returned to date. I called today, July 17th and asked the receptionist Brandi to speak with Phil and of course he stepped away and I will have him to call you right away. No call received. I joined CBG seven months ago and to date have received $34 total. This is definitely a fraudulent company and anyone considering to be associated with them; please don't. The entire group; from Bill Todd all the way down to the receptionist; are bonified con artists that are out for self profit. I hope all victims of this fraudulent company will somehow be reimbursed for their monies spent, their agony and pain, and guilty feelings of being mislead and betrayed.

It has been ten months since I paid CBG for two websites and to date I have received $34.90, a far amount from the thousands a month that was promised. The worst part of the entire matter is that after scamming me out of my hard earned money no one from the company is ever there and they do not return calls. They even have the receptionist to tell good lies. They have a new lie every week and seem that all the employees are let go due to drinking or problems with the IRS. I am so disappointed in this erroneous, manupilating, scamming, and lower than a snake organization. I am in distress of losing my marriage due to this bunch of scums. I am very hopeful that someone will stop them immediately before they get a chance to defraud someone else.
