Complaint Review: Capital Choice Consumer Credit

I received a letter from Capital Choice Consumer Credit letting me know I was apporved for a Platinum Card. The membership fee was $39. Since I am trying to establish my credit, I thought this would be a perfect opportunity. I sent my check on 03/31/02. This was cashed on 04/04/02. I have been unable to contact these people since the phone number found on the Internet (1-800-707-1689) always seems busy. I have no way to contact these people and I feel I have been ripped-off. $39 may not seem like much, but it is to me. If this is truly a scam several $39 can add up fast. I wish this company can be stopped and everyone's money can be returned. Carol Corunna, Michigan
