Captial Choice Consumer Credit is A TOTAL SCAM! It is very typical of Florida's infamous "fly-by-night" operations they setup in warehouses, scam everyone, and take off because of Florida's leaniant business laws. I got a letter in the mail, and me with NO credit history (I'm 23) believe I was going to receive just what it stated: a "PLATINUM CARD WITH CREDIT AMOUNT $5,000 AND INTEREST RATE OF 0% INTRO. A.P.R. FOR 1ST 12 MONTHS". No where in the ENTIRE document stated that it was a "merchandise card" meaning catalog card. The freaking FTC is now filing a lawsuit against them for "deceiving business practices". I sent them my $39 before researching the company (that I'm kicking myself for not doing) and I called them after a couple weeks when the check was cashed, asking where my card was so I could pay rent on and establish credit with them. I called their customer call center, and they stated that it wasn't a standard credit card such as MasterCard or Visa, but a catalog card you order items out of with it. I was extremely disappointed. I called back after waiting another week for the shipment, and a VERY rude rep (I work in tech support myself) stated, "What made you ~THINK~ that it was a standard card??". I replied, "There is a freaking $5,000 limit on a Platinum card!! Who orders that much stuff out of a catalog!?!?". He told me to wait until it gets to me because it was in transit, and then send it back for a full refund. I received the package yesterday, I haven't opened it, but I'm sending the deceiving sh*t right back to Florida with a Certified letter with it, and I'm writing a letter to their physical address, photocopied with the certificate and verification of the returned shipment right away. Please, I'm begging, I'm waiting for a class-action lawsuit to form so that I can jump in. Guys, don't get 'conned' like I did, and do some research! Capital Choice Consumer Credit should pay!!!!!!!
