Capital Choice Consumer Credit Ripoff
I to sent in a money order to this rip-off company. I didn't research them until after I sent the money order unfortunately and am not too happy with myself for not investigating further. I just now recieved a phone call from Capitol Choice Consumers Credit asking me to give them even further information in order for them to give me even more benefits on my Platinum Card. They asked for my bank account information.
I'm assuming that since I didn't send a check but a money order they now want to get my account number to have access to my checking. I told them I knew they were a rip off and would really rather prefer to get my money back, which I got no response to.
They instead repeated their offer to send me a free Disney World ticket, free airline ticket and a 500$ coupon for groceries. I am at the moment very grateful that I did not send payment with a check.
Although I'm am livid that a company like this can exist and that I was stupid enough to fall for this. Is there anything that can be done? I'm am worried now that they have my phone number and address.
I don't recall giving them my phone numbers. The person that called said I gave it to them. I didn't make a copy of the form, so I can't verify that's he's telling the truth.
What really burns me is that I'm sitting here feeling like a fool while these people are getting away with it. The consumer should not be made the fool and having to pay the price for a company like this.
They're the fools, not us.
