Thanks a ton to everyone who has set up this information. I really appreciate for helping me to save my money. I happen to recieve this letter from CCCC (god knows what other names they use to dupe) a couple of days back. Being slightly busy, i happen to open the mail today.. honestly i was happy to learn that somebody is offering me a credit card.. and that too for $5000 and with just $39 fee, but after few minutes of happy moments.. i observed that there is no telephone no. and there is no information absolutely about the card.. what was on the back side of the certificate was real bull-s**t with no information.. I decided to check the site on the web, and the first thing is found is that its a fraud.. Thank you everyone for informing me..
also i believe that these people should not be let go scot-free.
please let me know how i can be of some help if some people are taking some action. my email is dm691980@hotmail.com
now that i am in a more familiar ground.. can somebody answer my doubts?
1. I donot even have a bank account.. because I was down for a while and had automatic check option on? so few checks (6) bounced and top of it my complete financial condition was screwed. How long does it take to get a bank account???
2. Like most of you I do not have a credit card. are there any pre paid credit cards that you folks know?, so that i can atleast rent a car.
3.Does getting a credit card in the name of a friend (like joint account holder, authorized by my friend.. I am happy to have atleast friends who can help me) and using and paying the bills all by urself.. help in building the credit history.. first of all is it legal?
4. How long does it take to rebuild one's credit history? DOes the fact that getting a job (trust me a very high paying job) help in anyway to rebuild.. or atleast open a bank account.
5. I see ads on the TV.. ameridebt or something which say that they can help u to consolidate bills and other financial helps etc etc.. do they help?

Thanks once again, folks!
