I received the preapproved letter from Capital Consumer congratualting me on a platinum credit card with a credit limit of 5,000 dollars.

My credit is kinda shitty and I've been working hard to re-establish it with a fairly new credit card. My first thought was "jump all over this". A 5K limit sounds very enticing. I filled the paper out at the bottom and had my envelope ready with a $43.00 check waiting to send off in the morning.

Kept thinking and thinking that it sounded too good to be true. Did a search on the internet for "capital choice consumer credit" and look what I found. I guess I'm one of the lucky few who caught this s**t at the last minute. My envelope is sitting in my mailbox ready to be mailed out in the morning. After seeing this I quickly went outside and retrieved it, ripping it into tiny pieces.

Guys, if it sounds too good to be true (and you have to send in money before you get the card) usually it is. To hell with companies like this. Most people live paycheck to paycheck and I'm sure most could have used their 43.00 or 39.00 bucks for something useful.

My condolences to the people already been ripped off. If it weren't for your messages, I would have been another victim.
