I received a First National Card in the mail guaranteeing me a credit limit of $6,500.00. At approximately 4 PM I called them up and had already given them a check number and an authorization to withdraw $200.00 from my checking account on 4 Feb, 2003 when I began to have second thoughts. I never did punch in the credit authorization code on my telephone. I abruptly changed my mind and told a Dorothy Carter that I did not want to accept their offer at this time and to please not take them money out of my checking account. Mrs. Carter would not take no for an answer and immediately transferred me over to her supervisor (first name Mike). When he found out I was serious about cancelling before I even got started Mike became very rude and hostile. Even though Mike and Dorothy both told me they would not be accessing my bank account, I am worried that they will do so anyway. When Mike began handing out some low down insults against my intelligence I hung up on him. This company's sales tactics go beyond high pressure marketing. They insult your intelligence. They try their best to give you something you don't want. They are very evasive about answering questions and change the subject as quickly as possible.
