I received a call on 04/24/2006 from a man from Capital Financial. He said I was pre-authorized to receive a credit card with a $2,000 dollar spending limit. However, he never mentioned that the card can only be used to purchase items from a company catalogue. He presented this information in a very desceptive and misleading fashion. Made me believe that I was going to receive a credit card for $2,000. After he "approved" the credit card on the phone. He slid in the $200 one time cost of getting the credit card and mentioned that I would get the money back in four coupons of $50.00 dollars. I found out this was all a scam when I did a quick check on google and found this site with all the complaints on the company. I called the 888-281-6710 Captial Financial number and their reps refused to transfer my call to a supervisor or manager. I never received any good or services. However, they quickly deducted $100 from my checking account. I explained to them how is it possible to pay for something when I have nothing to show for it.

She explained that since I aggreed to a non-refundal amount of $100 I was not entitled to get my money back. However, I pointed out that I was lured, mislead and tricked into thinking that I was going to get a "credit card" and not a catalog card. She said that the company was not going to deduct the rest of the money ($100) on May 8th from my checking account. But she refused to talk about getting my money back for the amount they had already deducted from my checking account on April 26, 2006. She gave me an address: Attn: DCD, 3665 East Bay Drive, Suite 204-269, Largo, FL 33771. She said that I had to write a letter telling them the reason why I want my money back. This is of course an elaborate way to keep you from speaking to anyone in charge. I called again to try and speak to the manager but I was refused again and again. This is truly upsetting to me, and I hope others who have been ripped off by this company post their stories on this website.
