Capital Financial ripoff said I would be able to get cash advances only to find that you may only get 20% of what you have paid in payments. Also way overpriced & limited products for sale! Largo Florida
I was solicited by phone by this company. First of all they mislead me to believe this was a regular credit card offer. They told me it was a program to help individuals rebuild credit. I did question further before accepting the offer. By the end of our conversation I had been told that the Capitol Financial Card could be used in three ways, online at their website for purchases, cash advance, and cataloge purchases.
After I agreed to let them take a 200.00 deposit from my checking account, which they did. I did not recieve additional information from them until it was too late to stop them from taking the money from my account. When I recieved a letter from them I realized that I had been scammed by someone trying to get rich quick by taking advantage of people who do not have good credit.
When I read the letter they sent me after they already had my 200.00, letter stated that purchases required 35% down payment.Cash advances are only available after your first cash payment has been receieved not counting the 200.00 already invested, and then only 20% of what you have paid in.
Products available online at thier website are very limited & priced way over retail value. I plan to purchase something equivelant to about 300.00 just so I can get my money back, then I will cancel & close my account. I would much rather just get my 200.00 back!
Currently I do not even have the charge card yet. Deposit was completely paid on 3/30/2006 and todays date is 04/19/2006.
