I received a phone call a few days after I applied for a capital one credit card. The caller wanted my checking account information. I refused to give it since the company had called me. I ask for a phone number I could call back. I was told I would have a $2000.00 credit limit. They needed my checking account to debit my account for $200.00. I was told I would receive 4 $50.00 coupons back and I could use them for the first $200.00 in payments. I never received any coupons. I started contacting Capital One credit card company. I kept sending e-mails to Capital One and getting a phone number. I finally talked to a representative and was told to call the phone number from the csr that had called me. I talked to a CSR for Capital Financial Merchandise and was told their company was to buy merchandise from a catalog. He also told me that I had to contact (by mail) the Dept. of Consumer Disputes in Largo, FL. By this time, I was very upset. I looked into Rip-Off Reports.com and guess what; I am not the only person defrauded by Capital Financial. I went immediately to my bank with print-outs from Rip-Off Reports. I had to open a new checking account so that this fraudulent company cannot debit my account for any more moeny.

Rip-Off Reports.com is a wonderful instrument to let the world know about all of the frauds.
