Complaint:
Capital First did not advise me that they were going to bill my checking account. I did not receive this packet information until after my checking account was debited for $159.90.

On the packet information, which I received 6-6-02, it did state that the two payments totaling $159.90 will be debited after 7 days of the free trial. How can they bill me for something I received three days later? I would like to have my money return to my checking account. I did speak with them of this matter and recorded phone calls with them concerning this matter.

I have tried to call to receive more information about the credit card and they are unable to provide me with that information. They have another credit card Premier One who I also had a problem with.

Finally I just cancelled both cards. They advised me that they do not have any records of them debiting my account. I do have bank records proving the fact they debited my account on 6-3-02.

The last representive I spoke with said that I need to return the packet before they issue a refund. The packet will go out today 6-10-02.

Go to your bank, fill out a "dispute form". You have 30-60 days (depends on your bank) from the date they debited your account. Your bank can get your money back. (They will be very familiar with Capital First and similar scams.)

Then CLOSE your account. There is no any other way to stop Capital Frist to charge you again and again under different names.

DO NOT WAIT for an answer from BBB, they will not do anything else, than send your complain to Capital First's POBox.....
