I was contacted by one of Capital First service reps. and i agreed to VIEW the package and only pay the $29.00 shipping fee. That was in June of 2002, well I was surfing the net and read what others had complained about and i decided that this was not for me and I called and cancelled my membership on 7-2-02. And also followed up with a letter to them.

On July 19, 2002 my account was debited and I called to ask why was the money removed from the account after i cancelled my account. I was told that they NEVER got my letter and I would recieve a refund once the packet was returned. What Packet I did not even get a chance to VIEW the packet before they started pulling money from my account. I was furious!

Then they drafted another 59.00 for a calling card. What Calling card I have not seen a calling card, I did not need a calling card at all. I called my bank and wisely asked them to deny the charge. I was told that we the consumer can refuse a draft at the time they drafted the 169.90 I did not know therefore, that amount is what I am still waiting for.

I contacted the BBB in South East Florida and I was sent a copy of a letter that Captial First Comsumer Affairs Department mailed to the BBB. I stated that the account was refunded and they considered the matter resolved. Far from it. That letter was dated 8-22-02, it is now October and I have not seen my money.

My advice is to contact the BBB and also The Federal Trade Commission at www.FTC.GOV and also I am looking for an attorney to file a Class Action Lawsuit.
