Complaint Review: CapitalFirst

CapitalFirst called my severly disabled sister and by using deceptive marketing convienced her to give them personal information, checking account info, ss# etc. They charged her $29.95 and $59.95 and $99.95.

There is a another phone number in their brochure, 561-620-8625, who state they are a customer benefits fullment company, and they have many clients. They state they are not part of CapitalFirst.

I tried calling the number 866-892-6018. Very Very Rude! They refuse to give out any info on who owns the company, a manager etc. They hung up on me.

On their literature they state that "after your 7-day free trial, there is a one time processing fee of $59.95 and low annual membership fee of just $99.95". When I told them that the package was received on 8-19-02 and they took out the fees from her account on 8-20-02, they just said that the mail must have taken a long time.

Everyone please complain to your bank, the postal service, Better Business, also the companies that you can figure out from their "benefit" brochure. I found "Transpoint" a telephone company. Kodak Film is listed. Univeral Studios, Great Adventure, Adventure Island, Busch gardens, Six Flags, SeaWorld, Water Country, Cineplex Odeon, United Artists, General Cinema. Pharmacies at Albertsons, Pathmark, Watl-mart, K-Mart, CVS. and hotels: Double Tree Hotel, Howard Johnson, Best Western, Marriott, Sheraton and more.
