I contacted a local dealership to purchase a new car. I have recently been through a divorce and have a couple blimishes on my credit so I thought financing might be a little tough.

The dealership contacted me after pulling my credit. I was told although I have a ok credit score (above 600) it will be hard finding financing because I have an auto loan with Capital One 60 days past due.

Since I am still a co-signer on my ex-husband's auto loan I knew exactly what loan he was talking about.

I called Capital One Auto Finance and was assured the loan was current and asked for a statement or letter to faxed to me stating this, I was told I would have it in 24 hours, this was Wednesday. Ok ... no big deal, right? Wrong!!!

You guessed right!! It is now Friday, and I have not received a letter. Not only that, I have been on the phone over three hours today alone trying to get this staightened out. I have talked with Christina, Garrett, Judith, and Erin. I asked each of them to provide me something showing the account is current, as the all stated, however in customer service they only take payments. (?!) I then requested a manager and was refused until I became angy and refused to hang up until I got a manager. I was then dropped into a voicemail box for Dion, whoever that is, and never received a return call.

At this point, not only do I not have anything showing the account is current I was also told by Christina it would take up to 90 days to be corrected on my credit reports.

I would stay away from this company at all costs!!
