My boyfriend got his car financed with Capital One about a year ago and its been nothing but hell! First of all he had bad credit because of a Capital One card his parents got out in his name and never payed. So imagine our suprise when we learned Capital One, the car place, was willing to finance him.

Well we thought it was a good idea since they promised low payments and we went along with the process. Well when it was time for our first payment the bill never came, so we go back to the car lot and find out Capital One lost our information. BUT we could pay 150 dollars to get the paperwork going again and get it refinanced for a lower price.

We did it and all seemed well. Till it happened again! We ended up paying about 350 dollars for the same pathetic reason! Now they haven't sent my car payment bill for this month and I have no way in getting in contact with them. The stupid number they gave me is just a d**n recording and I can't find a way to speak to a real person!!!

Well now were getting offers from Capital One (the credit card people) to help "fix" that delinquent credit card his parents used in his name. They don't take it off the credit report even though it was reported as a fraud account. I feel like we have no choice but to pay, since were in the process of buying a house.

THe original card had only a 200 credit limit and was over the limit 50 dollars. Now the bill is a whopping 1,100 dollars even though the account was closed many years ago. Any body have any suggestions on what to do!!!!!

COAF is not the villian here ..Do not ever let a dealership try and have you roll another fee into your loan

I direct everyone I know to Capital One Auto Finance or thier sister company People First (for people with good credit). Your problem isn't with COAF it is with the dealership, they are trying to fraud you to get more money out of you. Do not ever let a dealership try and have you roll another fee into your loan to refinance. Every call I have made to the Funding Analyst, Supervisors and Execes has been positive, however they are not allowed to tell you any derogatory comments about dealerships, they will tell you to tal to the dealership, they are goign to make you think that the funder (COAF in this case) is the bad guy. Some states like TX, FL and AL have laws against this fraud.

We too have Capital one and we also HAD there credit cards they too messed up our credit. We have Auto pay to make our payment. My payment is due on the 20th of each month the problem is they take it out two day before and before my pay hits therefore it caosts me 20.00 in NSF fee at the bank and 39.00 on their side. So we stopped the auto withdrawl and sent in a letter as it say to. Well it stopped for 1 payment then started coming out again.

So I called 1-800-946-0332 extension 6236 ask for Eric. If you put in your ssn instead of account number it should tell you to wait for the next person. When they get on the line ask for extension 6236. Be mean this is all they know and don't give in stand your ground. Have them reimburse you your fees and everything.
