Complaint Review: Capital One

Capital One Capital One: All Up In Your Wallet, Internet

I received a notice from one of Capital Ones collection agencies indicating I owe Cap One past debt. I responded in writing, as directed, to dispute the assertion. Cap Ones attorneys then promptly sued me without an attempt to solve the problem. Now Im stuck going to court this week. Apparently Capital One is motivated by greed rather than care for its customers. Its no wonder they have the lowest customer service rating of any credit card.

What WAS the dispute you had?

If you said it was ID theft, if you made even  ONE payment, that is blown out of the water.

If you said there were fees associated with it, it was on the contract you signed ahead of time.

If you complained that there was more on than you charged, well pal, we all pay interest on credit cards.

what was the written reason you gave for disputing the debt?

We always get letters disputing the debt.  Most of the time, the reasons for disputing the debt are nonsense.  These letters are from individuals trying to stall the process, and avoid paying the debt.

Just sending a letter in disputing the debt doesnt resolve the matter.

So what was the reason you sent in trying to dispute the debt?  In Indiana, wage garnishment is most often times employed to secure payments on debts owed.

Perhaps Capital One did not see your reason for disputing the debt a valid reason, and thus decided to sue you in court, and get the courts to issue a writ of garnishment.

In states where wage garnishment is allowed we do not F##@@@#k around.  We mean business.

So,what reason were you giving Capital One for not owing the debt?
