My husband was seriously injured at the time I owed Capital One a balance of $477.  I was also laid off of my job.  I had the Payment Protection Plan, paid for the service monthly.  Then when the plan was needed, Capital One refused to honor it.  This was to cover my payments in the case of loss of job, injury or death.

I owed Capital One $477 in Feb of 2009, did not pay my payments due to lack of income!  I now in Oct 2010 owe Capital One $1924 according to them and their bill in the hands of an attorney now!

There is no way to fight a company this large, what they say GOES and the interest, the late fees, and the protection plan were a complete RIP OFF!

Life happens, and we just don't always plan for a CRISIS!
