Capital One credit card has ruined my credit and due to a card i never owned or had. They have reported this to a collection agency.

The credit agency then calls me, at one point is was constant.
Finally, an Indian speaking man calls and becomes outragous with me on the phone.

He says"you dont even pay your bills you owe this money"!!!
I told him i have never owend that card or am aware of that account number and had to remind him that this conversation by his own company was being recorded.

He was very angry for one because i told him i dont want to talk to you i want to talk to your supervisor...now!!
I didnt hear anything for a few minuets, then he came back on the phone and said his supervisor wasnt there.

I said point blank i dont believe you and you are a lier, put them on the phone now!! Irregardless he hung up on me. A few days later a more calm young lady calls and says they have the recording of the conversation.

At this time i am attempting to get a loan for a house and because of this with capital one i am unable to even get a loan from anyone.
The young lady tells me if i send them a partial payment of what is owed, I will get a letter stating they have cleared my credit.

I agreeed to this i had to have this taken care of so i can move on with my life. I allowed them to route money from my account.

I feel awful, as though someone has taken money from me in a twist arm type of manner. I am angry with myself also.

Never let them attach to a checking account.

Capital One is not a good company and it took them months to stop sending me pre approved apps. I do not have an account with them and never will. But you have made a big mistake. NEVER let a company like that attach directly to your checking account. Most will not stop at the aggreed amount, and you will then have to FIGHT to get your money back. Also I have s firm rule, pay for what you owe, NEVER pay for what you do not owe. Sounds like an IF theft problem, go to www.privacyrights.org and read up on what to do. And get capital one to SEND you proof of the purchase or loan, they say you did. Don't let them get away with it. Good luck.
