On 11/15/02 Capital One had sent me a letter stating that my credit limit will be decreased. This was done as I have been "late" in payment. What had happened is that Capital One on 9/02 sent new cards to my house to replace the soon to expire cards that I had. Those replacement cards had gone missing and were reported as such. Capital One had at this time sent another set of replacement cards, but failed to tell me that the account numbers would not carry over. Then when I had gone online to do payments I saw no balance was due.
Thus no payment was made.

Capital One is very quick to lower your credit limit and report to the credit reporting agencies and very slow to help customers like me who have been with them for seven years.

I had called on 11/18/02 and was hung up on by Aloysius when I asked for a supervisor, then Delford transferred me to Jerry(5p28) who after listening to me told me to "send a letter" to the CEO and COO. I have done this, but sent it certified to make sure it got there and there is a paper trail of my complaint which I will let equifax know about in my grievence in addition to my Better Business Bureau complaint.
