Capital One's "Consumer Membership Services, Inc" is a freakin' joke! Back in December 2002, I suffer a heart attack at work. After begin hospitalize for more than a month and begin off from work for 60 days, I filed a claim with my payment protection plan with Capital One. After month, no response.

So, I called them at 1-888-527-6904. I found out they do not have my information, so I fax and re-mail my claim form. 10 business days later I called them again. They did get my information, but have not processed it.

Two weeks went by and I called again, this time they stated I filed the wrong claim. They said I need to filed the disability claim.

This form was faxed and mailed. Now it's been a living hell! My claim has been handled by 7 different people. All who want different claim forms. There is only two claim forms to file. I've done both!

Each jerk gives me a different answer about which form. One wants the disability and the other wants the unemployment.

I found out due to the economy, Capital one is delaying paying out on claims due to the large volume claims requests. Here is an example. Call 1-88-527-6904 and select option 2 (claims status). You'll get recording stating the office is close.

Get out while you can. DUMP Capital One credit cards!
