Capital One Visa ripoff, also charging me late fees when payment has been sent WAY ahead of time Richmond Virginia

I send all my bills 7-9 days before the due date. Capital one visa is charging me late fee's almost every month. When I noticed it a few weeks ago, I looked at the log I keep of payments made and dates, it was taking them 10-12 days after I mailed the payment to credit my account, therefore making it late.

I called and had 4 different cust service people tell me that their area/office wasn't in charge of my acct and gave me another different number to call. At person #4 I got angry and told her BS, and she put me on hold for 11 minutes. A man came on and I told him that my acct wasnt being credited for my payment until 10 days after it was mailed and all the other cc companies where getting paymnts and crediting 5-7 days from my mailings. He said "ma'm we credit accts the as soon as we get the pymnts".

I said No, you dont', I have documentation of my pymnts sent and out of the past 8 or 9 paymnts I only sent 1 late but have been charged late fees 6 times. He said the EXACT same thing he said the first time and added to it that I should call my postal service, because they credit the accts the minute they recieve pymnts. What can I do??? Someone please help. I'll never get out of debt if they continue to do this to me.

VARIOUS credit card companies do this put the whole card in Dispute cause they want to rape you for every penny they can. There are ongoing lawsuts at bigclassaction.com on credit cards that are doing this. I had 4 cards and all lost multiple class actions and put all cards in dispute

Just as Robert from Wisconsin stated earlier, I also pay mine two Capital One accounts online about 2 days in advance just to be sure. They give a schedule on their site when the payment will post and funds availability will be. They haven't missed yet. I am not defending the company in any way. What I have read in most of the complaints here is a missed or late payment in nearly all reports. I had missed a payment when I was still mailing mine to them. It should have arrived and been posted according to a telephone operator. She waived the fee and for the most part warned me that it wouldn't happen again. I went to online payments right after that and haven't had a problem since. Good luck out there!!

I have had Capital One credit cards for years without problems. The solution to this problem is simple. Pay online, I have always made my payments online and it always has posted the next day without fail. Capital One does not charge for this service.

You're not crazy, it's a billing scam. I guess 18% interest isn't enough for these crooks.

All the way around, you are getting cheated. You pay a crazy interest rate. Then, they also steal extra money from you every month.

You're right. You'll never get out of debt.

The credit card companies got together recently and bribed the legislators to pass new laws that make it harder for people who file bankruptcy.

Basically, you're like a rat on a wheel. Running hard. Never getting anywhere. Large companies like this continue to cheat you of the little money you have.

Like most people, you're destined to end up old and grey, without a penny to show for all the years you spent working.

If you let that happen.

I wouldn't. I'd max out their card and throw it away. Of course, I know how to beat the credit card companies. So, I have nothing to worry about.

But, you need all the credit you can get, because you have no money of your own. If you did have any money, you wouldn't be in debt to a credit card company to begin with.

So, you're pretty much stuck. They make the game. They set the rules. You have to bend over and take the payment. It's the price you pay for credit.

And, as you see here, high interest isn't good enough anymore. Now, the companies simply steal your money by tacking on fees.

At some point in your life, you might get sick and tired of always being broke because of some crooked company. Then, you'll do like me. Tell them f**k off. Not a penny more.

If everybody did that, they'd be out of business at the end of 90 days.

Something to think about, huh?

You could try sending your payment with a receipt signature required. It costs a lot to do that. They'll still lie about getting it late. I don't see any way to win here.
