Complaint Review: Capital Party Rentals

This is an extremely dishonest and an absolutely horrendous company - if you need linen rentals for your special event, avoid Capital Party Rentals like the plague. We paid them over $700 for linens for our small wedding (70 guests), and they supplied us with dirty, stained, unlaundered and wrinkled tablecloths on our wedding day. The guest tablecoths all had very noticeable black circles all over them and at least one of the ivory tablecloths for the sand ceremony had a large ketchup stain that my husband and the waitstaff had to try and hide.

Although we have photos and several witnesses, including family, guests, and facility employees who not only saw the stains, but tried to remove them with water before the ceremony started, Capital Party Rentals refuses to accept responsibility and denies that the tablecloths they supplied were stained and dirty. If you ever have the misfortune of dealing with Gloria Rhodes, Capital Party Rentals' Director of Marketing and Partnerships, be forewarned that she is rude, unprofessional and dishonest.

It is an absolute disgrace that the one day in your entire life when you actually have an interest in your linens leaving a good impression by being crisp and clean, that you end up with stained and dirty tablecloths that not only look awful but are unhygienic. In addition to this major wedding day disappointment, Capital Party Rentals refuses to rectify the situation by providing a refund for their obvious breach of contract.

Do NOT use Capital Party Rentals for any of your special event needs - they are absolutely the worst of the worst in this business. Even if the facility you are using for your event informs you that Capital Party Rentals is the vendor they use, do NOT get trapped into engaging their services. There are plenty of reputable businesses in the Washington DC Metro area who will supply you with clean linens and not rip you off like Capital Party Rentals does.
