Capital Vacations scam offers lure of free vacation package to get college student to respond and confirm last four digits of bank account number. Offer is supposedly cancelable at no charge. Student realizes mistake in confirming bank account number to unknown third party and calls back within 24 hours to cancel. Bank account is charged $59.95 on initial call date; from numerous other similar stories on ripoffreport.com, it is apparent that obtaining refund is next to impossible. Report filed with Missouri Attorney General's Office.

Any way for victims of this scam to 1)recover charges; 2)band together or take action through various state consumer protection agencies to put this scam company out of business? I am willing to do whatever it takes.
