In 2007 we wanted to establish credit so we applied for several credit cards. Premier Credit gaves us two. In a timely manner we paid them off. At the same  time CapitalOne  issued us a card with a limit of $300.00.

$121.00 was all that was available on the card with a start-up fee of $179.00. I started making payments on it and even used it a couple of time at X-mas.

Now all this time we have been paying on this card the payments have gone up and the credit limit turned into $500.00.

In 2008 we called and wrote to cancel the card, but thhe payments and interst and past due fees, card protection, and overlimit fees have soared.

In February 2009 AlliedInterstate wrote to say that CapitalOne wanted their money and was turning us into the credit bureau for the amount of $599.27.

In June 2009 we paid them off and now have received a statement form Capitalone that we now owe them $595.72.

I've not always been able to pay on time, but I have also not used the card in 2 years.
