Complaint Review: Capitol Convenience

I guess you could say this review is going to be a bit "customer service" and "rip off" oriented.

Let's start with the fact there are cameras EVERYWHERE in this place. Next are prices. You will find what you are looking for at alternative stores for much lower than what you get here. A large sized bag of popcorn costs approximately $3.99! Not kidding!

So that's the rip off part. You don't have to go very far to get a better deal while this place tries to sell itself as the "next big idea" for gas-station esque grocery stores.

Customer-service-wise this place is chaotic and can be pretty hostile. Somewhat understandable as it is located in a rather shady neighborhood just before Colfax Ave. However, the owner Alex is a little infamous for being whacked. I think Walmart is the only other retailer you will find more cameras than this place. Not to mention Alex scares people away because he eyeballs them and acts very nervous practically most of the time. I've spoken with neighboring businesses in the area and some of them don't really interact with Alex for these specific reasons. And before last night I was cool with Alex and didn't really mind the guy, then...

Ok, I happen to work in the area for the time being and I'm responsible for some functions of the neighboring area. Basically long story short a friend of mine who worked there until last night got spit in the eye by a crazed meth addict. I'm really the only other person who witnessed this, and Alex happened to show up BEGGING this employee not to quit. When I personally told Alex what happened, he went off on me and accused me of not doing my job when I HAVE NEVER BEEN PAID TO DO ANY WORK FOR ALEX OR ON HIS BEHALF. Actually come to think of it, I have actually supported Alex's business before, but good luck explaining that to him. 

Last on the list are some of his employees, namely Jesse who I have referenced in all of my other reviews and for good reason: THE MAN IS A PERVERTED DEVIANT.  What started out as a simple invitation for a beer at his house ended up being a situation where he tried to get me high off of marijuana and booze so he could literally HAVE SEX WITH ME. And he NEVER ASKED IF I WAS GAY OR NOT prior to this occurence.

Even though I left his apartment on awkward terms and he verbally stated he "understood" why, he CONTINUOUSLY MADE SUGGESTIVE REMARKS ABOUT ME AROUND CUSTOMERS AND THE CIGGARETTE VENDORS. He seems to have taken Alex's side to the extreme by refusing me what used to be privileges so to speak for an offense I didn't committ. Which is all good and fine for a private business owner, except to say on Jesse's behalf he's really lucky I haven't taken legal action yet and or didn't beat him half to death when I was almost raped against my good sense. 

This place is horrendous and they will treat you like s**t for nothing. All the while trying to promote a friendly and "innovative" concept to service your "convenient store" needs. Very much so in this context, is this place a total sham..
