***PLEASE READ ALL TO UNDERSTAND WHO YOU WOULD BE DEALING WITH IN CASE HE CALLS YOU FOR YOUR HELP****
^^^IS ALSO HAVE BEEN POSTED WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BEREAU AND HE HAVE NOT RESPONDED AFTER 7 DAYS^^^^

THIS IS WHAT HE SAID<<<<<<
BEWARE: Spight Automotive is a complete scam! I used this company to repair a transmission on one of out company vehicles. I met a gentleman named Joy who worked for Spight that came out to inspect the vehicle and he informed me that the transmission was needing a rebuild. Joy told me that he would get with his boss(Phillip-business owner) to find a place where they would have the transmission rebuild done.

Two days later Joy calls me telling me that the rebuild was $3000.00 but the transmission shop would take $2500.00. I said that was fine considering the fact that I needed the truck back on the road that week! Soon after the rebuild was finished by Carters Transmission shop Joy called me to inform me that I needed to go to the shop and make payment on the unit. I went down and paid Carters and at that point Phillip the owner of Spight Auto went by and picked up transmission after debating with me about who was going to pick it up and deliver it to my shop to have it installed.(Which is ludicrious considering he is the one doing the job. Why should I do work Im paying them for?)

Anyhow the following day the transmission was dropped off at my shop where Joy the mechanic assigned to my call, improperly installed the transmission incorrect and broke both the pump on the unit as well as the brand new converter that it came with. I then spoke with Joy on what we needed to do to resolve the issue and he stated that he would need to speak with his boss(Phillip).

After both his mechanic (Joy) and I spoke with Phillip about the issue he informed me that it was the transmission shops mistake. Which I hardly believe seeing that 3 different mechanics as well as another transmissions shop informed me that from the details I had given him on the install that it was done incorrectly which caused the pump to break. The transmission shop owner informed me that he originally spoke with Joy from Spight Automotive told him that when he brought the transmission to them that the converter should have been attached to it. (Which I know that myself being that I own 5 of these trucks for 10 years). Both Joy and Phillip argued the fact that it can be done a different way. (Which it can't, hence this 1 STAR REVIEW Im writing). I even have 2 mechanics willing to testify on my behalf :stating Spight Auto is liable because they damaged the unit.

So after going back and forth with the business owner and him threatening me and calling me a con artist and liar, his mechanic (Joy) that worked on my truck ended up refunding me $500.00 in cash which I have proof of even though Phillip doubts me. I am thankful for honest men like Joy but wish him the best of luck working for this lying thief of a boss who thinks he knows a thing or two about running a business.

Even with the refund of $500.00 it was still not enough to cover the fix on the transmission or the cost I accrued renting a truck and turning down work because of the damage. I spoke back with Phillip yesterday and he informed me that he was not willing to pay the remaining $300 some odd dollars for the transmission fix which I think is only fair! So at this point I notified his office that I will be filing with the BBB as well as the Attorney Generals Office here in Austin TX as well as filing with the court system with all the documentation and witnesses I have to get my money back.

Phillips response to me when I informed him of this is to F*** off and that he will write negative reviews and slander me and my company if I wrote the true facts about dealing with his business.

BUYERS BEWARE: Check Spight Automotive out on YELP,ANGIES LIST, CITY SEARCH, & YELLOW PAGES before you hire them. My review is not the only one that will have a 1 STAR REVIEW beside it.

Above is what Mr. Jason Jefferson, Owner, from Capital Mover's sent to the BBB and this was our response to the better business bureau:

BBB Grade C-Mr. Jason Jefferson, Owner, from Capital Mover's, 8701 West Parmer Ln, Austin, TX 78729
http://www.capitalmoverstexas.com, made a (another) false business statement and didn't respond back to the better business bureau after this was made to them on our my behalf.

We will take this step by step so BBB will really understand the con man that you are. First off, we took this job because you said you didn't have much money to play with and soon that would be proven by the bounced check you gave us. (Copy attached) Even though Mechanic Joy had to wait a few days for payment, he still took your transmission out of your truck and took it to Carter Transmission in which you agreed with them (NOT US) to go forward to repair. At the same time, I knew and told you that they did not change out the pump and Cliff at Carters didn't tell you the truth but later did after it was installed and the same issues of it not going into gear happened. Later, once you asked us to return the transmission, you and Cliff at Carters decided to change out the Oil Pump when it should have been done from the very beginning. (I promise it will work now) So you took everything upon yourself with Cliff at Carters and you made the wrong decisions and now want to play the blame game. You paid way too
much to not have the pump installed by Carters. We are just the middlemen.
Install only and it was not an install issue. Neither one of us was there to know what was done.
You just take your chances with the ones who rebuild your transmission and not install. If it didn't go into gear prior, how could it have caused any damage if it didn't go into gear after install? (Damage was already done) That means Carters Transmission never installed the pump like
what was told of you and you got done over by them. Not us. You do not know anything about transmissions, so it boiled down to SPIGHT Automotive and Carters Transmissions. WE DID NOT DO THE REBUILD. Carters did and did not install the pump in which you paid for. $2,500 way over priced. You told them to move forward and they didn't do anything at all to it other than give you another used torque converter and sent you on your way. Again, we are not to blame here. It's impossible to damage the pump if it wouldn't engage. (Go in gear) Ask any professional. You should be lucky that Joy my Mechanic did pay you so you could stop harassing him when you should have been calling me. (You had something to hide) You both agreed on $500 and that is what you two did and you agreed to pay the balance. Run your scam elsewhere. I have all the proof I need. You didn't even know that Cliff was the one who so called properly installed the torque converter. Cliff at Carters transmission did all your so-called work on your transmission. Not SPIGHT Automotive and you know that. You just want something for nothing. Go after them, not us. More attachments will follow
if needed. There's a reason why you have so many different addresses with the BBB. Please look into them.

And stop it with all the threats...It doesn't work with me....Text, email, phone, etc. (Look at his history, he will play the scare tactics/threats,Police, etc, until he gets his way. He goes around and uses other business services and blames the owner for bad business to eventually get what he wants for free/less..(THAT DOESN'T WORK WITH ME) I found out that he is known for that all over the net).

NOTICE THAT HE POSTED ON YP, YELP, Angie's, etc because he couldn't move forward with the BBB on his side with me.

People like this is why small businesses have to fight back to earn peoples trust. After all these years with no complaints and this one is not even close to telling the truth.

In response to Jason's comment posted on 9/23:

1. During my initial call to the movers I was informed the cost would be 60 dollars an hour plus an additional 25 dollars for the drive. When the movers arrived they tried to charge me 65 dollars an hour. Additionally, they tried to charge me another fee for renting the moving truck.

2. I was never offered a 20% discount. I had to fight just to get the hourly rate originally agreed upon. The amount I paid does not reflect a 20% discount.

3. I was never informed that I may purchase replacement insurance. How could I have purchased it if never offered it, which I think was the intention.

4. They broke several things and I was told that I would only get 60 cents per pound if I filed a claim.

5. The movers showed up over an hour late and my move took over 12 hours. I was given an estimate of 5 hours.

6. Almost everything was packed in boxes before they arrived, the few loose items that remained were just thrown into garbage bags and moved like that. They did not have any packing supplies to use, When I explained to them I needed boxes I was told rudely that I should have asked for packing supplies prior to their arrival

7. In order to get to my apartment that I was moving out of, the movers did not have to walk up 3 flights of stairs as Jason claims, I lived on the first floor only.

8. My old apartment complex did have a garage that prevented the truck from pulling up to my doorstep and they had to park about 40 yards away (not 80), however my family moved over half of my stuff to their truck themselves.

9. The workers were missing a large amount of the time and we caught them eating lunch and sitting on my furniture when they were supposedly working.

10. The apartment I was moving into did have 2 flights of stairs (not 3 flights of stairs) but all my boxes were left in the first floor garage about 6 feet from the rented moving truck.

11. At 1am I was told that they only accept cash. No credit cards, and no checks. Since I don't carry 900 dollars in cash I had to go to an ATM at 1am in the morning when I should have been supervising.

12. I tried to call Jason on 7/14 to resolve the issues that occurred and I was not able to speak because I was constantly being yelled at. At the end of the phone call I was called horrible names and hung up on.

13. I filed a complaint with the BBB. Jason from Capital Movers was uncooperative, and even tried to scare me away by claiming that he filed police reports on me. In checking on these police reports I found out there was no reports ever filed. If Jason from Capital Movers really wanted to resolve this issue the BBB would have been the perfect platform.

14. I've been harassed by this company with threats "I know where you live" and "make sure you're doors are locked." I did have to engage the police and they called the company. I mention this to warn people to think twice before letting people of this character know where you live. I do have a copy of the police report if anyone would like to see it please message me here on Yelp.

15. It is clear that I will never get anything from Capital Movers. I only want my voice to be heard so that others can make an informed decision when choosing a moving company, however Jason is doing everything is his power to try to silence me at this. I've never heard anything truthful from anything Jason has to say. I have an actual picture of myself and I have no problems proving any of my statements. Just message me on Yelp.

16. There are many fake reviews that have been written either by the Jason himself or by his acquaintances. They have even gone as far as to write a fake positive review in my first and last name on another site. They only removed their fake review in my name after I filed a complaint with the BBB. Yelp has these reviews filtered to help protect against fake reviews. Thank you Yelp!!!!!
