In November 2002 Capital Vacations called me to let me know that I had been chosen to win a 3/day 4/night free vacation anywhere in the US. I asked why I had been chosen, the comment was because of my good credit with my checking/Bank account!! I was told I would have 14 days to look over the information and if I decided not to accept their offer I could cancel and they would not bill my checking account.

I was also told I would receive a free calling card from Stay in Touch L. I never received anything from this company, I tried to call the number they gave me and all I got was a recording to tell me to leave a message. I did leave a message and told them I did not receive anything and that since the 14 days trial period was almost over, I wanted to cancel any and all offers they thought they had offered me. I did not want them to go into my checking account and I wondered where they got the number of the account anyway. I never got any information from them, nor did I get a call back.

I thought that since I had left a message of cancellation that would cover it. Well they have been billing me for over 2 years . $54.90 from Stay in Touch L. for a calling card for long distance service, I have never received a calling card from them, and $19.95 for Suntasia, Capitol Vacations, which I have never received any information from them either. I finally got some information from a Company called Netchex who processes monies for these companies. I called Fantasia Marketing , the company that Netchex gave me, and then I had to call Stay in Touch Communications and Capitol Vacations. I actually talked to someone this time and told them to immediately cancel and got a couple cancellation code numbers.

They told me they had no record of my calling them in 2002 to cancel and they could go back and credit my account for only 30days. I am shocked that they had a recording of them calling me but none of me calling to cancel. So for over two years they have been billing my account and I have received nothing from them. I hope I can do something to get more than one month credit from these companys, I cannot believe this ripoff.

I wanted to add that I should be getting my refund of almost 1200.00 dollars for these people taking money out of my account for almost 2 years. I filed a report with the Pinellas County Justice and Consumer Services Office of the General Counsel, and they took care of the matter within 30 days. I was shocked. I do not have the money in my account yet but they have assured me that the money has been send to my bank, they are aware also that the money is coming, since I had to close my old bank account the rip off people do not have my new account number so they had to send it with the old number and it should be there any day now!!!!
