We went to purchase a vehicle at Car Hop in Inver Grove Heights.  They had call me a work and indicated that they had what we were looking for and that we could look at it that evening.  My husband and both went to look at the vehicle only to find it was not at that Car Hop it was out in Richfield.  They told us when we got their where the vehicle was.  They said they would then bring the vehicle to IGH as we were not driving out to Richfield.  I asked them if all vehicles are check out and they told me they were.  We also indicated that we did not want a vehicle if it didn't have two keys.  The vehicle they sold us has been in the shop twice and only half the work got done the second time as they would only cover one side of the manifold gasket and the other side is still leaking and needs to be done.  The repair shop had to fight to get one side done.  When I called the warrant place they told me it was not covered under the warranted.  Why would you do one side and not the other.....

Then when we went to use the other key....it does not work!  It is not for the vehicle. When I asked where the other key is they told me I have it.  Kurt the manage of Inver Grove Heights is very rude.  He told me that the vehicle does not have a chip in the key and I can go have one made.  Well I went and had a key made and the vehicle does have a chip in it.  Then I called to see where the registration and tabs where and I was told by the main office that they came in on October 14.  I called on November 2.  So I call Kurt to see where they were and he told me they just came in that day....I already was told they came in on October 14.  I don't know why he had to lied about them.  They tell you what you want to hear and then once you buy the vehicle....they don't care about you at all.

All I want is the vehicle repair which is under warranted and the key made.

Cheryl, I agree with you one hundred percent. I have had nothing but problems with the two vehicles that car hop has given me on the same warranty/agreement. As for the person who stated that "should have brought your vehicle to a mechanic, and have it inspected." They WILL NOT let you do that, I asked, and they told me they only let the vehicles leave for test drives only. I had a Saturn that they told me was a great running vehicle in my price range, I had asked them what else was, they told me that nothing else was, that my credit score was that bad. I was confused, I knew it wasn't great, due to the fact, I was 19 years old, and I didn't want my parents to have to co-sign for a vehicle, but it could not have been that bad. Anyways,  I attempted to start the vehicle, and the salesman, whom was very nice, stated that sometimes they do this if they are not ran for a while. He got it to start, and  I test drove it, it seemed to work perfectly. He stated that the car that was "very reliable". So, I bought the vehicle, I had it for 5 months, the transmission literally exploded. The mechanic I brought it to, was a mechanic that car hop requested, and he stated that he has only seen a transmission do this two other times in his lifetime. It took car hop one month to fix my car. Caused me to fail my law enforcement classes at school, because I had no way to get there. They fixed the vehicle, and then gave it back to me, this last summer of 09, I was driving to my parents house, and the engine seized up. They took a month and a half to decide to put me into a different vehicle. I now sit with a Ford Taurus that is broken down for the second time. Same problem, that qualifies under the lemon law, in Mn, so I will be contacting an attorney. I am not going to fail anymore classes because they wont give me a vehicle that works for more than a month.

Car Hop does not return phone calls when they tell you that someone will call you back.  I never received a phone call back.

Also, people should be honest and if someone asked questions about the vehicle... you shouldn't lied about it.  I was told that every vehicle is check out and repaired before they sell them.  (Why say something if its not true).

And why would you repair half the problem and not the other half?  One side of the manifold was fixed but not the other side!  Doesn't make since to me to do one side and not the other.

I didn't think I needed to check both keys out as soon as I received them.  I trusted the person that gave them to me....pretty stupid on my part!

It's to bad that you couldn't just tell the truth.

I would rather be a poor writing....then telling people false information.

You purchased a car without bringing it to an independent mechanic and have it checked out, instead you asked the car dealer if the car is checked out?

If two keys are important you could have tried both keys before you accepted the car.  By the level of your writing, it is easy to determine the guilty party.

Ask me to give them a call back once they saw my report only to find out they still don't want to help me.

I call the warranted number back today as indicated.  Car Hop warranted still does not want to have the work done on the manifold or get me another key.  The lady I talked to was rude.  I asked her why they would repair half the manifold and not the other side.  She didn't really have an answer.  I ask her why they asked me to call them...in their note it said that there must of been a miss communciation between me and the warranted department.  They still don't want to do anything.  The lady finally said she would have someone give me a call back and I never heard anything back.

What a waste of my time.  All I'm asking is to replace the other side of the manifold and give me another key as I requested a vehicle with two keys.  Silly me I should of told them I need two working keys!
