Car-Mart liars and scam artists Sapulpa Oklahoma
My wife and I bought a car from Car-Mart of Sapulpa last year. After three and a half months (coincidentally right after the "warranty" expired) the car blew its motor. I researched this particular automobile, which was a Chrysler Concord w/a 2.3 liter engine. During research I found that almost all of Chrysler's 2.3 liter engines blew the motor shortly after 100,000 miles. Our's blew at 107,000 miles.
After threatening to send the vehicle back to Car-Mart, they agreed to let us into another vehicle and transfer payments to that vehicle. However, during the first month, the new vehicle's brakes were grinding. We sent it back to Car-Mart to have it checked out and they said the brakes were brand new.
Now, 4 months later, they grind badly. I sent it to them and demanded they look at it again. They told us that the brake pads were new but the rotors were bad, and have apparantely been for awhile. They also agreed to fix it and tack the bill onto our payments. We have a transmission leak also that they agreed to fix for a nominal fee.
SCAM ARTISTS!!!! All car companies are just the same. And on another note, we were late with our payment once by one day, and a representative from Car-Mart harassed my wife at work, even threatening to come up to her work and discuss collections. They are no better than any other underground, dirty car lot that you find on every street corner. They are interested in selling you whatever they can and ZERO service after the sale. BEWARE BUYERS!!!

Charles, I am very sorry you have experienced these types of issues. I would like to reassure you that Car-Mart does not sell vehicles with the intent of them breaking down after the service contract expires. We take every precaution in ensuring we buy and sell a good quality, mechanically sound vehicle. However, even experienced car professionals we employ sometimes make mistakes. This is why we have a 3 day satisfaction guarantee, so that you-our customer-has every opportunity to have the vehicle looked over and checked out and ensure you are satisfied with it. We also have a service contract to cover major issues such as the motor blowing up. I am sure you would agree that if one was to drive a vehicle for 4 months and 4 thousand miles, any hidden problems that vehicle may have would surface. We do not try and cover any mechanical issues with our vehicles, however we cannot see into the motor or transmission of the vehicles we sell and sometimes these vehicles have hidden problems.
Referencing your Chrysler automobile I think you are referring to the 2.7 liter V6 motor. Recent reviews show that this motor is as unreliable as you report and since we have chosen not to purchase vehicles equipped with this motor so that our customers not have to deal with expensive motor repairs. It does sound like Car-Mart tried to help you and allowed you to purchase another vehicle and applied your payments from this vehicle to the new one. I hope your problem has been resolved, and you have communicated your issues with teh company either by calling the toll free customer hot line or by going on line at the corporate web site.
