Car-Mart ripoff Fort Smith Arkansas
My husband and i feel that we have been ripped-off by Car-Mart of Ft. Smith. We bought our last car from them and never had any problems with it. But we needed a bigger vehicle and traded it for a minivan. We brought it home on the 1st. day of December 2004. The next morning i go out to start the van, and it won't start. I call them they send a tow truck. They have it for 2-3 days before it is fixed .Not, the next day after i got it back it starts doing the same thing. They tell me that it needed a new fuel pump. They say they put one in it the first time. On January 19 i had a court date and again no van wouldn't start same problem all over again. I called, they towed, I missed court This time they had my van for 4 days and they never called till i called them to see if it was fixed then they tell me what they think the problem is and i just happens to not be covered by my warranty (5 months or 5,500 miles. ERG valve and TPS. the cheaper one they paid for i had to pay $211.00 before i could take my van home 4 days after it was towed. (they don't give loaners so your screwed)
Today is the 24 of January and the van is worse, problem not fixed had two different machanics (ASE certified master machanics) They tell me that the problem is still not fixed take it back tell them to fix it. I call them and they tell us bring it in all they can do is check it again. I am being screwed because the other two i had look at it say it probably never needed an ERG valve. I want my money back plus towing i had to pay and deductable. I want my vehicle fixed or replaced. they refused to replace it knowing this will be the third time that it's been in the shop for this same problem. My troubles have just begun with America's Car-Mart. I would not tell anyone to go back there for anything. i mentioned the Lemon law all they said was yeah okay. There's much more to tell but no room to write. Thanks for this site it helped me to try to keep someone else from going through this problem.
