caraquire the individual that I spoke to over the phone was Richard Shields and his partner Audre her phone number is 1-877-225-2879. Richard was very pushing. Started to say he had a buyer from Sarnia, Ontar Colorado Springs, Colorado
I got a call from a Richard Shields, on June 27, 2012, saying he was from Car Aquire and his personal phone number was 1-877-694-3919 (which is the company's phone number if it is a viable company). He said he had a potential owner from Sarnia, Ontario. That they look after the financing and the buyer had been approved. He also said that I would get a call from his manager giving me a 9 digit number that I needed when I go to either the Bank of Nova Scotia or Bank of Montreal. He said I would be refunded by the buyer paying the amount I did for the deposit 599.95 there is an exchange rate included. I feel that the exchange rate that they are charging is way too much.
On their site they have my car as listed as 11900. This is the price of 11,400 = 500.00.
The when they were asking more questions, in their speel they said we do not have potential buyers at this time that I would only be refunded back 300 +. I would loose the 125 but the exchange of what ever it is of 99.95.
When I was giving them my information, I had a funny feeling. I thought I was ok...I don't remember them asking for my CVV #. I felt the transaction would not go through. But it did, it was applied to my visa yesterday (June 29/2012).
The whole approach gave me the feeling something was not right.
They did not call me back and give me the 9 digit number. They did not e-mail me with information where I was to down load my car's pictures.
They got my information off of KiJiJI. They copied the pics from Kijiji.com.
I am upset.
I believe they are ripping off customers left and right.
I tried to look up their company through the American white pages. No luck. I tried to look up the phone #...no such phone number. That to me means the person was using a cell phone.
The address that they list is for a plaza but there is no sign of them being there.

1) Do a reverse lookup on the street address, minus the suite #. It's the address of a Pak Mail store. A rented mailbox. A maildrop.
2) Domain registgration for the website is private (cloaked owner).
3) Do a reverse lookup on the phone number. Scam warnings.
Three BIG red flags.
Call your credit card company and dispute the charge. They'll have to fully identify themselves then. I think they'll pass on the challenge.
