I had a van that was unable to pass the emissions inspection, and I was told I needed to have a carburetor rebuild. I purchased a rebuild unit from Carburetor and Radiator Exchange at 7th Avenue and Cave Creek Road. They installed the carburetor, and the truck has run terribly ever since.

Twice I've had it back to try and get it running right. Both times, there has been no improvement. Twice, they supposedly worked on it ( while I walked down the street for a burger) and upon completion said that it would pass inspection. Both times it failed, and both times they had failed to reinstall all the hoses from the PCV system.

One of their mechanics commented that other hoses had not all been hooked-up properly. But that van had previously been a corporate fleet vehicle, with a history of professional dealer maintenance, and had always run like a watch.

The hoses were not the problem, his lack of knowlege was.In addition to being harder to start, the vacuum is now incorrect and it has affected the shifting. I would urge anyone who needs carb or radiator work to stay away from this shop.

their names are changed often.

carburetor and radiator exchange
carburetor shop
carburetor exchange
superior carburetor
A-1carburetor

i must say in all fairness that dealing with the emmission standards of today and dealing with the emmission stations of phoenix(witch i have payed graft to to get someone on the road)is not easy. i am good at what i do and have been doing emmissions since 1985.

and one or more of those immagrants stole allot of my tools i cant get a job now

the carburetor and radiator exchange is actually on 7th street.i werked for the previous owner and i know who has it now.no one there is qualified(a professional)me ive been a mechanic\technician for 25 years i worked for the original owner who has passed away.

that place was soldto some other people whom i worked for a short time and was terminated(these things happen)i worked for a transmission shop for a year and the original owner found me and rehired me for the new carburetor shop(actually a branch of the old carburetor shop on 7th street)both places hire illegal imagrants some who have never even ridden in a car.

basically they PUSH the work out and deal with the comebacks later how ever many times it takes.i'm just one man i tried to help people as much as possible but most or all of them just want money don't take your stuff there, and dont order anything over the internet.
