Now here's what has got me pissed off at CSI.
Since I got my new account that offered much better rates than CSI , I no longer needed my CSI account so I call
them up and request they cancel it. They said the person who can do that will call back in 1 hour. No call
Second day I call again, they said the person will call back in 5 minutes. No call Third day I call yet again and after being transferred and put on hold, the phone hangs up.

Fourth call and I finally speak to someone. I ask him to cancel my account and he says there's a $300 early termination fee. I ask isn't my contract month to month which my original agent led me to believe. He told me my contract renews for 6 months. That is, if I don't' cancel by the anniversary, it automatically renews for 6 months. I could have sworn my agent said it was 6 months minimum and month to month after that. I've been with CSI for 18 months.

I missed the deadline to cancel at the end of June so I had 5 months left in my contract. I ask what my minimum fee per month was and was told $40 [ $15 customer service fee whatever that means cuz I never got any service from them, plus $25 monthly minimum discount fee]. So basic
math tells me I should be able to get out of my contract by paying $200 [ $40 * 5 months ] which I still don't believe I should have had to. I am told I cannot do that. If I wish to cancel today, I would have to pay
$300. Now if I wish to save $100, I have to request they cancel my account in writing between November 27 and December 27.

I cannot pay them $200 now, I have to wait till then. I can probably guess my letter asking for cancellation will arrive but then mysteriously disappear on December 27 subjecting me to another 6 months to this crooked company.
I asked them to fax the contract I signed that mentioned all this and have yet to receive it.
