Complaint Review: Cardinalle Way Mazda

Cardinale Way Mazda Reneged on their promise for a vehical collatoral switch for a lemon they sold to my son. Mesa Arizona

I am writing to you regarding a local business in the East Valley. My son purchased a pre-owned vehicle from Cardinalle Way Mazda. This is the first automobile that my son purchased and this dealership sold him a lemon. We have had it in the shop at their dealership as well as the Suzuki Dealer in Avondale. He purchased this car on May 22, 2008 and it has been in and out of the shop for the same reasons on average weekly.

I have contacted the selling dealer to help him get out of this car. I have spoken to Dave Thompson several times and have advised him that we are not interested in doing a trade in but we are interested in doing a collateral switch. This man told me that he would have his used car director call me and work something out. I have picked out the replacement vehicle which is the same cost and have been driving it for the past two weeks.

On Saturday I received a call from Mark Dalton stating that Chase would not do the vehicle switch. However, when I called the bank I was told they would and all they needed was paperwork changing the car. I explained this to both Mr. Dalton and Mr. Thompson and they were going to again contact the bank.

I was just called today and told that the Suzuki was ready to pick up as it was fixed. I do not want my son in this car and I want this dealership to stand behind their car. They sold it and it is their responsibility to make the deal right. I am not sure what if any recourse we have but I would appreciate you looking into the ethical practices of Cardinalle Way Mazda. I do not feel that they are treating us fairly, I feel they are taking advantage of my being a single woman and my son being young and inexperienced.

We have been lied to, treated unfairly and wronged! I would like this situation corrected as soon as possible and I want this to do as they promised several weeks ago. I want them to do a collateral switch for my son and we need your help to do so.
