CardPayment Solutions Integrated Card Service Credit Card Processing Scam Santa Barbara, California
We entered into an agreement with CPS dba/IPayment, Inc. on or about 01/07/10. They agreed to process our Visa, Mastercard, and Debit card transactions. The first terminal we received could not be used on our digital phone line so we had to send it back for a replacement on or about 02/01/10. The second terminal we received would not allow us to process the debit cards which is one of the primary reasons we changed to IPayment. We had to send that back for a replacement also on or about 03/01/10. The 3rd terminal we received still would not allow us to process Debit Card Transactions, again one of the primary reasons we switched to IPayment. Finally after seeing we were not getting what we were promised, as in the ability to process debit cards at a lower rate than credit cards and the fact that we were being charged additional fees that were not previously disclosed to us, we decided to terminate the agreement and cancel service with them due to misrepresentation on their part. All equipment was again returned to them at our expense on or about 04/07/10. We notified them by letter dated 04/07/10 as to the reason for the cancellation and also informed them that they were no longer authorized to place any charges or transactions to our banking account. On or about 05/17/10, IPayment charged our checking account a $350 fee for cancellation.
